Boatyard Terms & Conditions
While the boatyard operates as self-serve, we do have line handlers to haul out your vessel and block it up in the boatyard. The vessel owner will drive it into the haul out shoot, with a 2nd person onboard to receive the lines to attach to the cleats. These will be used by our line handlers to help control the vessel while in the chute and being hauled out.
Port San Luis is an open harbor, therefore, prior to haul out, we must verify marine conditions are ideal for your vessel, taking into consideration the wind, swell and tide at the time of haul out. Our mobile hoist can handle vessels weighing up to 60 tons and around 60 ft in length (With a beam less than 20 ft).
Once your vessel is securely blocked up in the boatyard, we will provide a list of rules that must be followed in order to comply with Port San Luis Harbor District standards, as well as State of California rules and regulations.
Once a boatyard patron has completed necessary work on their vessel, they will notify boatyard staff that they are ready to return to the water. That is when we will start making phone calls on our haul out list for a vessel of a similar size to take its place in the yard.
Please see the price sheet for boatyard and haul out rates.
